We are seeking a highly qualified Board Certified or Board Eligible Dermatologist (BCD) to work autonomously, but within a shared space along with an Interventional Radiologist, Vascular Surgeon and/or Plastic Surgeon. The ideal candidate will possess the willingness to work collaboratively while embracing the model that targets a common patient demographic. The BCD will examine and diagnose disorders and diseases of the human skin. The BCD will perform a variety of laboratory procedures, examine sample tissues, and use various biological and chemical analyses to identify harmful organisms or pathological conditions. The successful BCD will champion patient flow, provider schedule efficacy and contribute to sustaining positive employer relations. The BCD will have the flexibility to focus on single center operations or travel between multiple centers within state of license. Clinical Job Functions:
Participate in didactic and clinical training program as provided by Company. Consult, diagnose and treat patients for a variety of dermatological conditions from benign to malignant and from acute to chronic. Work independently in satellite offices treating patients ranging from pediatric to geriatric. Possible cosmetic procedures depending upon interest and according to established guidelines Ensure timely completion of electronic clinical documentation, appropriately documenting the subjective and objective findings including assessments and plans in patients' electronic medical records. Ensure accurate coding and billing. Timely follow up with patients as indicated. Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to make appropriate referrals for care Meet the needs of professional emergency or after hours calls per practice call schedule Regulatory Job Functions:
Function within the scope of practice as defined by the state Board of Medical examiners or other applicable regulatory agency and with priveleges as determined by the practice setting and the American Board of Dermatology. Comply with all applicable laws, rules and regulations. Complete the required amount of continuing medical education (CME) credits to maintain licensure. Other Job Functions:
Available to work the customary work scheduled determined by the Company, which will require a minimum of forty (40) hours of direct patient care. Travel between and among company offices as assigned and within specified mileage limits Support center marketing events and initiatives. These activities may include:
participation in screening clinics, attendance at health fairs, presentations to community groups, and networking with referral sources. Participate in the supervision of Physician Assistants assigned at the discretion of the company and abide by all applicable laws in accordance with this responsibility Participate in and support regularly scheduled staff meetings Requirements:
