8AM-5PM Job Description ? Monitor daily transportation status using internal dispatch system, vehicle tracking, and through active communication with Drivers; ? Enter both scheduled and on-demand trips into the dispatch system and match to optimal vehicle type based on customer/patient requirements and using route optimization tools; ? Help to properly staff for the region to ensure full utilization of vehicles and drivers; ? Answer patient or facility calls promptly and courteously; ? Be aware of all response time requirements by customer, including Medicaid/ModivCare; ? Understand the Medicaid/ModivCare authorization and transport assignment process; ? Report transportation provider performance issues to the Dispatch Manager; Requirements ? Must be able to dispatch and schedule; ? Must be knowledgeable of practices and procedures as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing functions of a post-acute care facility; ? Must have the ability to implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the department; ? Must perform proficiently in all competency areas including but not limited to:
transportation responsibilities, staffing patient rights, and safety; ? Maintain professional working relationships with all staff members, customers, facility/dispatch managers, vendors, etc; ? Maintain confidentiality of all proprietary company and patient information; ? Must understand and adhere to all company policies including harassment and compliance; ? Must exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients, facilities and coworkers; ? Must be able to assist with continuing education programs; ? Must be dependable, with regular attendance; ? Must be able to concentrate and use reasoning skills and good judgment; ? Must be able to communicate and function productively on a team; ? Must work well in a high pressure environment; ? Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in English ? Must have a working knowledge of the basic, Microsoft (Excel, Word, PPT, etc) and Google suits.
